Mr. Langford, if I understand you correctly, you would have had me complain to the people that I was complaining about. I felt that it had already cost me two months of frustration in just trying to get a reply about a fence permit. Then I suspect it cost me the type of fence that I had hoped for.
Also, if you will recall, I was also trying to get the city council to address a parking of service vehicles issue at the time. I was noticing a particular plumbing truck and painting truck parking for weeks on Perryman and Beechwood, without warnings or tickets (I asked their owners) while service trucks working at my house on Middlebrook were being given warnings for doing the same. The council's response was that the, then, police chief was "doing a fine job," completely ignoring my complaint. If I'm not mistaken, you, yourself, Mr. Langford, sent me one of those obscure replys. I surmised that the nepotism I percieved that existed on the council at that time just simply had the cards stacked against me.
Also, please understand that the Don't complain unless you attend council meetings broken record is getting tiresome. Some of us are simply unable due to other responsibilities, like children, and in my case, work. However, what does that say about our council if it is unable or unwilling to respond to citizen concerns or complaints except for one evening a month?
