On another outage topic:
What, if anything, is being done by our mayor and our council people to advocate on behalf of the neighborhood? Why haven't they gone door-to-door with flyers, printed out at the powered up UPS store, and let us know what is going on? This seems like one of the only times when we would actually NEED a mayor to take action and yet nothing has been done. This website is full of people complaining about things like tickets on parked cars and inappropriate vehicles on lawns. Council members have responded to those concerns. And yet, now? There are many elderly people and others with disabilities in this neighborhood and we aren't hearing about their issues with these outages. We should remember this at "election" time.
