Well, what angle do I take...
Do I address your constant "carping" about my "carping?" Naw. It now seems to me that that is how you are able to participate in this process of communicating. More power to you! No hard feelings. I'll just need to be more diligent in seeing and understanding different perspectives.
Do I address that you are critcal of my "complaining routine" when something "gets under" my "skin." In other words, you are complaining that I complain when I have something I want to complain about. Again, this seems to be your niche. Go for it.
Yes, I think some folks take me seriously. You seem to by your regular responses. However, I am certain others do not. Such is life. My ego is a little stronger than that.
I certainly believe this is a proper venue. It happens to be the only one open to me at the moment, so I use it. I do plan to take Mr. Langford up on his generous offer to hear me out on a few issues. I've grown to really appreciate his open mindedness. Also, I hope to run for a council seat in the near future. My postings on this site will either help me or be my doom. You will get the pleasure of not voting for me. How sweet is that!
I hear you about suggesting solutions. I don't always have solutions. One of the reasons for coming on this site is that sometimes when something doesn't sit well with me, I may not be sure why and I may not know how to fix it. Sometimes I don't even know whether something should be bothering me or not. So I get on here, I talk to my neighbors, I formulate opinions, I develop ideas, etc. Mr. Langford has given me insight on here before, and that's a powerful thing. Because of this site I have had neighbors point out to me where I have had good ideas and where I have been a jerk. Discussion is a discussion, a process, not an end product. This may be where you and I seem to part ways. I'm not sure. AND THAT'S OKAY!!!
All right, Woodman, carp away about my carping. That's part of this whole process and I accept it for what it is. Peace!
