Please use CAUTION when exiting the side gates. The gates are programmed to allow ONE car per cycle. This means you MUST stop and allow the gate to close and then retrigger before you enter the gate. We have had a couple of homeowners damage their cars at these gates.
The cost of the gates have to remain feesible to the neighborhood to be able to allow them to remain open. The liability rises each time we have an incident and makes us look at the matter of having to possibly close the exit gates. This would be very inconvient to alot of homeowner, myself included that use the gates mulitple times daily.
Close Exit Gates!?!?

However, that's what the money is for. Do you think the money is payment to you for being on the board or something? The money that each and every homeowner in this neighborhood pays is for upkeep of the neighborhood; so if a gate malfunctions, then the money is to be used. It doesn't matter if it happens 100 times, 1,000 times, or any number of times because that is what the money is for.
By the by, it appears to me (or anyone else with common sense) that our money hasn't been used properly. There is little evidence of this, besides gate repair. Also, those two days last month that there were cars parked out in front of the main gate were a waste of time (the days some flowers were planted). Don't even try and tell me that you used money for THAT... it's terrible... You should have hired a landscaper or something.

Exit Gates

The exit gates are great! They provide an outlet for motorist in another way besides only the front gate and this can help with congestion of traffic. I too, have had one of the exit gates closed on my vehicle --- hey, now I know that the gate has closing cycles. Don't be an idiot and try to rush the gate once it is known that it only allows one car per cycle. However, there should have been a notice to this effect beforehand to let everyone know of the cycle and all problems could have been prevented in the first place.
Look to me as if someone namely the board is not doing their job in keeping the community completly informed of information needed to the homeowners. Is the board a secret club?
