The Street Light Project has been accepted by the city. The city needed to split the project up into three sections. One section will be done each year and each section will have their own remonstrance period. I attached a document that has been handed out to the affected properties detailing this information. Currently, there is a period of 10 (working) days for affected homeowners to sign a remonstrance indicating they do not want this project. This period ends at 5pm on May 25. It will take 51% of affected homeowners to stop this project.
Personally, I am excited to see this project happen. I think it will improve the look of the neighborhood and provide some much needed lighting on many of our darkest streets.
