Here?’s a multiple choice test for you.
Select an activity from the following things to do on a Saturday morning: A. catch up on the laundry, B. clean the house, C. pull weeds in the yard, or, D. stop by the Washington Park Farmer?’s Market. If you chose ?“D?” you?’re not only capable of exercising a little stress reduction, you?’re in for a nice experience by electing to avail yourself of a wonderful variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and other plants.
Co-sponsored by the Arizona Community Farmers Market Group and the City of Phoenix Parks Recreation and Library Department, the Farmer?’s Market is open every Saturday, currently from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., through mid-July (or until the crops run out!). There?’s plenty of free parking and the admission is free as well.
What?’s available? Lots of organically grown fruits and vegetables such as spinach, cabbage and lettuce, herbs like basil, oregano, and cilantro, live plants, cut and dried flowers, and so much more. And you won?’t have to drive very far to this market. Located at 2240 W. Citrus Way, you?’ll find Washington Park about a half mile south of Glendale Avenue, a little east of 23rd Avenue.
Choices A, B and C will still be available upon your return. . . ☻
