CRIME STATISTICS

Jul 08, 2003

The crime statistics printed in our newsletter are obtained from the City of Phoenix Police Department web site at www.phoenix.gov/POLICE/.

Why print the crime statistics in our newsletter? Knowledge is power, and if our neighborhood uses this information to identify problems, appropriate actions can be taken to minimize the problem.

In an effort to reduce the risks of becoming a statistic, we have printed articles from the police department regarding home and auto protection techniques. Blockwatch efforts are always at the top of the list.

Please take a few minutes to study the statistics tables and familiarize yourself with the types of crimes that are reported for our neighborhood. Review your efforts that safeguard you, your family, your property and your
neighbors i.e. home security efforts, vehicle security and awareness of who belongs in the neighborhood.

Get involved in Blockwatch.

Don?’t hesitate to call crime stop at 602-262-6151 to report suspicious characters that do not belong in the neighborhood.

We can be successful in letting it be known that THIS NEIGHBORHOOD CARES. This is one time NOT
IN MY BACKYARD is appropriate. . .☺
