Felon Arrested on Woodlake Drive
On Saturday, November 13, 1999 at 10:30 p.m.
An astute neighbor I?’ll
call Bill, not his real name, noticed two men riding bicycles in the
neighborhood. One of them kept looking over his shoulder, right and left
in a way that made Bill certain he did not belong in the area. When Bill
observed the man taking the time to look inside a parked vehicle Bill
called the Police. They responded and intercepted the man. After
several minutes of investigation the officer determined an arrest was in
order. As the officer began to handcuff the man, he took off across
Woodlake Park and was caught by another Officer. The man was in
possession of cocaine, crank, tools and .22 caliber ammunition. He was
a felon on parole and should now be returned to prison, as just being in
possession of ammunition is a violation of the condition of parole. The
police will be making increased patrols in the area looking for
additional suspicious persons that may be trying to locate a pistol that
may have been discarded by the arrested felon.
