I have applications for high school seniors.
The scholarship is presented by The Leroy Steed Scholarship in connection with the Neighborhood Associations of Alliance, Inc.
One page essay is required. The topics are as follow
1. What are my civic, community and humane responsibilities to my peers, of whom I believe or know to be involved in gangs, drugs and other illegal activites
or
2. What is the climate of Augusta as it realtes to racial, political and social issues? ( your opinion)
3 Scholarships will be award
Two $500 scholarships
One $1000 scholarship
Applications and Essays must be postmarked by 2.17.06
Awards will be on 2.24.06 at the Gordon Club on Fort Gordon at 7 p.m.
