Canyon North Neighborhood Association

Good news for Canyon North residents. The traffic signal that has been approved by the city for our intersection at Rockwell and Talbot Canyon Road is moving forward. It is currently being advertised for bid and it hopefully will be up and running by March, 2006. Please let us know your thoughts about having this new signal at our Rockwell entrance.

I have to say I didn't think this would ever happen. We quit trying to turn south on to Rockwell because cars go so fast and it's hard to see. I don't want to sound negative, but do you think this will increase the # of people cutting-through CN to avoid the Hefner & Rockwell intersection?

I have to say that I understand your concern about increased traffic cutting through. There is not much we can do about that, but I don't think it will be an issue. Most of the people that cut through CN are turning at the light on Mac/Hefner. I think with the light on Rockwell it will just make it a littl easier for people coming out of the adjacent neighborhoods to turn also, since it will end up slowing down traffic some.

I'm just excited we are finally getting our light! Thanks to Becky for all her hard work!
