Several neighbors in our one and only "Block Watch" group gave me a good idea last fall. That is to use this discussion feature to put up endorsements (or warnings) about various services. I am currently looking for a house cleaning service and have collected advertising fliers from the following; Merry Maids, Molly Maid, Maid to Perfection, D & B Services, and Harmony Home Cleaning. Does anyone have recommendations or advice? By the way feel free to put up information or inquiries on any services you are seeking, praising/panning, or offering (such as baby sitting or yard work.) This topic can develop into an ongoing list which will not be deleted if it becomes a useful resource.

Why not use the MPR newsletter?
You're a member of the Community Relations committee, Ann. Why don't you use the newsletter? Of course, since it isn't published anymore, that might be a problem.
And why haven't you achieved what you badgered last year's Board to do and put the meeting minutes on the Website? I've put this question several times before, but you've never answered. Why not?

MPR Newsletter a good idea.
I agree that the MPR newsletter would be a great vehicle for any of the types of information exchanged on a neighborhood website. The newsletter seems to have fallen by the wayside. Our CR committee was a pretty good one, but volunteers can only do so much. I have not been a member since March when I withdrew due to having moved to Tempe.
I did write several articles for the MPR newsletter, however my main interest was to utilize the website to take advantage of it's potential for community interaction. I realize that a small neighborhood site like Canyon Retreat Neighbors doesn't get very many people checking in. (You seem to be the most frequent visitor to the site.) Anyway, since I am currently no longer a resident my energies are directed elsewhere.
