The meeting was held at St. Peters' Hall because of fall breat at Capitol View School.

Hostess Lia Miller and Julia Davis served hot dogs in warm biscuits with pop and chips.

Co-Chair Lia Miller presided at the meeting which started at 7 p.m.

Sgt. Brent Harris talked about drug activity in our neighborhood. They receieve 300 thousand calls a year. Please report activity you see without endagering yourselves. They need to know the site of activity, number of people, license plate number and type of vehicle involved.

Dectective Jim Kelly, neighborhood officer, was present and talked to us about animal abuse and strays.

The Eastside Boxing Club had the Police cadets trained to teach on Wednesday, October 8th. They boxed at the new club and are hoping for many new members.

Chet Palmer was guest of Nadine Hogate.

Brian Meyer, City Councilman, attended.

Some of the items mentioned as a number one priorty in our neighborhood are better lighting and streets with holes in them (Capitol street between East 14th and East 15th).

For the 3rd year in a row, Peggy Ingram invites us to share with the program "Shoes that Fit". Donations are being collected for this season at next months meeting.

Kimberly Douglass and Lacy Smith are heading up our Holiday Gift Baskets. There are two families - A family of 3 (mom & 2 sons) and a family of 6 (two sisters, brother 12 yrs and 3 children ages 7 months to 9 years).

The meeting in November is a potluck and there is NO meeting in December.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
