Capitol East Neighborhood Association 2/11/09 Minutes

The meeting was preceded with hot barbeque sandwiches served with chips, homemade pickles and cookies. The hostesses were Jean Schooley and Pauline Oline.

The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm by co-chair Lia Miller.

We want to thank Pastor Pam Deeds of Wesley United Methodist Church for the use of their facilites, as she was the presiding guest.

We were reminded of the open house of Tropics at the city greenhouse (2501 Maury Street).

Nominations of officers for C.E.N.A were made followed by the election. The following were elected. President is Peggy Ingram. Co-Chair is Lia Miller. Vice Chair is Mira Miller. Treasurer is Jean Schooley. Contact Person is Nadine Hogate. Secretary is Pauline Oline.

A report from the Greenspace Committee on the flower gardens was given and materials were purchased for repairs and upkeep. Volunteers are needed to help wit the greenspaces.

The Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
