I think ABC (of whatever their name is now) has lousey customer service and I am all for negociating with one company for the entire association - and a company that also offers recycling service.

Does a Board Member or Kinney Mgmt have to make the calls? Can we obtain a few bids?

Arizona Waste has provided superior service. We are very happy with their services and their billing structure.
Anyone who desires curb-side recycling must be prepared to pay for the truck that will pick up yard waste and the truck that will pick up paper, bottles etc... At minimum you will be paying for 3 trucks to pick up waste. There goes your discount!!!

Maybe a spokesperson for the COA could inform all residents, especially new move-ins, of the locations to drop off recycleables. It took me 6 months to find the location in Apache Junction.

It is precisely because we have two companies that the prices have stayed low. If we went to one, the company could charge whatever they wanted and wouldn't care anything about customer service. Do I need to remind you what is going on with our sewer service right now? That's what you get with a monopoly. However, I would pay a little more for curbside recycling. What is it going to take to get glass recycling around here? For such an ''environmental'' community we are in the dark ages when it comes to recycling.
