Casa Mia Neighborhood Committee

Welcome Residents and Future Friends

The Casa Mia Neighborhood Committee was formed by core members of the neighborhood for the purpose of working with City of Mesa organizations. Our goal is to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood through direct participation in City-sponsored programs and increased neighborhood involvement.

Neighborhood Quality of Life

Casa Mia is a great place to live, but currently a diamond in the rough. There is promise of beauty, good neighbors, increased property value and safety here, but it won't happen on its own. That is what has brought us all here. This neighborhood site is a starting point for all of what can potentially become THE NEW CASA MIA. Your neighbors are beginning to band together to form a committee of concerned residents who will carry out all that needs to be done to improve the quality of life here in our subdivision. Because Casa Mia was not originally a City neighborhood, formerly a county island in Maricopa Co., we are grandfathered into the lesser of neighborhood luxuries. We are not availed of improved street lights, sidewalks and free landscaping provided to most other subdivisions. That doesn't mean that we will never get these things, and more, but we will have to fight for what we want.

We Can Change our Neighborhood

Our committee is up for the fight and with your help, will bring this neighborhood to new heights. We can do it. We will become a neighborhood where people will walk together, greet each other, help each other, feel safe to hang out and walk our dogs. Just the change in our zip code, even with the declining market, should be blessing us with a median home value of $280,000.00. Yet there is such a decline in the quality of our neighborhood, even within the last six months, we are losing $40-50,000 of that value. We can change this. We can put this money back in our pocket. We can make our subdivision the envy of others, the place where people want to live. Casa Mia can be that diamond. Please use this site as a tool to assist us in our crusade. Join our committee, help in the neighborhood, attend our meetings, or just say hi as you walk by. Even the smallest gesture will help. Thank you for your interest in our community. It will bring us all great rewards.
