Castlegate Community

Does anyone know what is going on at the end of Ocotillo where the road ends?  Everyday I see alot of trucks going up the dirt road.

That's a really good question! Heavy equipment trucks (it seems to be a lot of cement mixers) literally are hauling down the road  from that direction in the morning... I'm surprised there hasn't been an accident at the Ocotillo/Castlegate intersection. Actually I was wondering if those truck are part of  the cement company and found a different route, or that they have drivers dumping back there.

SRP is installing high voltage power lines (the really big tall lines like the ones on ironwood/ocotillo) behind our development.  Maybe they have started contrcution.   Just a guess.

While on my ATV ride this morning I talked to a Rancher that was coming out from the other side of the canal at the end of Ocotillo. He has cattle that graze out on the state land. He said they are building some kind of a mine out there, he didn't know what kind.

Also they moved the fence back along Ocotillo and Schnepf to install water pipes. They will come from the canal and go along side Pima over to Gilbert.
