Castlegate Community

My neighbor is under the impression that ADOT is planning to put in a freeway in that will run through the Castlegate community. Has anyone else heard of this? He also said it will be a topic of discussion during the Bridge meeting tomorrow. I may be misinformed (at least I hope so), please respond with any information you may have.

This is not true.  I attended a county meeting last year regarding the Williams Gateway Freeway...this is what you are talking about and it will not be coming through our neighborhood!  LOL.   There are several proposals for the exact location.  It will start at the curve of the 202 on the east side of the airport.  it will then run south towards Queen Creek and then turn back east towards SR 79 (Florence area) or back up north and connect to US 60 in the Gold Canyon area.  The FURTHEST south that it will come and cross Ironwood is at Germann.  Keep in mind, this info is a year old.  So, unless they have changed their minds, we will not be residing on the new freeway!  (And they wont be breaking ground until 2013 at the EARLIEST

maybe they can build it down the middle of shapinsay so i don't have to look at all the weeds from out my windows.

There is a sign in front of the school and on the mail boxes that there is a meeting Fri Night @ 7:30 PM on this subject.
