Anyone else seen an increase of Mosquitoes this past week? (Since the storms) Everytime I walk outside the door I am attacked, unless I spray the gunk on...Let's all call Pinal County 888-431-1311 and request that they fog our area. I live on the east side of the community and there are ponds in the desert next to the road. They are never drained and are spawning pools for mosquitoes.

I am literally house bound after dark because of the mosquitos.  They bite me even if I have sprayed the gunk.  I called the number and was told they don't fog they trap.  She said they wouldn't fog unless a case of West Nile was found.  She took my complaint and said they have "treated" the standing water.  I tried to explain how bad the situation is here but her response was.....they are bad everywhere, protect yourself.

Yep I got the same answer as Rosewood as have others that I know who have called.  they only fog if they find a case of West Nile and in the 3 years I have been here they never have.  If you have pets, make sure to spray them as well with animal approved stuff (I get a spray at PetCo for $6 a bottle that is natural with Eucaliptus(sp?), tea tree oil and Citronella in it and it works very well on my dogs), and use something with DEET in it for yourself.  Unfortunately I didn't even go outside the last 2 days only to wake up with 5 bites on me simply from opening and closing the door to let the dogs out to potty.  Yeah they're BAD.  Citronella candles, OFF, heartworm prevention and repellent for the pets and hopefully we'll all be good, should only last another 4-6 weeks.
