Contact with Oasis

Posted in: Castlegate

I am wondering if anyone else has had any luck at all contacting and getting any response from Oasis?

I would like to share some information with everyone from my attempts.  I have e-mailed Brett twice asking how I can obtain copies of the meeting minutes of our HOA monthly meetings.  No response at all.

I had noticed that Oasis belongs to the AACM association, so I contacted this organisation and let them know of our problems with Oasis.  After a few days I finally received an answer from the President/CEO of the AACM.  The following is what I received:

"Thank you for contacting AACM.  We are the professional trade association for management companies that manage homeowner associations.  Oasis Community Management is a member in good standing with AACM.

The Castlegate Community Board of Directors has not contacted AACM regarding Oasis Community Management; may I ask if you have apprised them of your issues?

AACM's policy is to forward your email to Oasis Community Management and request that they contact you to address your concerns and that they include their response to the AACM office.   I would appreciate hearing that your questions have been addressed."

Here is the best part. The letter was signed " Linda Lang President/CEO ". I decieded to look and compair the addresses of Oasis and the AACM.  Not much to my surprise they are the SAME, different suite numbers.  As everyone should know Brett's last name is Lang.  My guess is I recieved a responce from Brett's wife, so no wonder why Brett told me in another e-mail "Feel free to contact AACM whenever you feel it warranted".

So when you contact Oasis and feel your getting the run around, you are.

I've e-mailed Brett four or five times, only one time did I not get a response but then again I did not ask for one either it was simply giving information.  The times that I have specifically asked questions and asked for him to please respond I received a response at the longest was 48 hours and come to find out he had been on vacation for 24 of those 48 hours, so really it was a 24 hour response time given that he hadn't been there one of those days.  He even took it upon himself to send me a follow up to the follow up e-mail a couple of weeks later to inform me what was going on.  I had requested the number of locks of parcel lockers in the community as I had a friend who owns a lock company and was going to give me a price quote, he got back to me with that within a couple of hours and even offered to scan in an e-mail me a map of their exact locations if I needed it.

Minus the one time when I did not specifically ask for a response from him (and in all honesty it didn't warrant a response other than possibly "I got your e-mail thanks", he has responded within a couple of hours to a couple of days been very nice and helpful and answered my questions completely and even followed up after the fact.

All of my correspondence has been via e-mail to him I have not needed to call so calling may be another story I do not know.

Good luck.

PS

I cannot say if it is his wife or not, but "Lang" is a relatively common last name, so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions either.

I logged into my account and noticed that Oasis had not credited my Feb payment.  I emailed Brett and received no response.  I then emailed the "info" email and received a response saying they would forward my email to their bank and get back to me.  They never got back to me but the Feb payment was credited a few days later.
