Castlegate Community

For the person asking why doesn't QC get their own fire department, they DO have a fire department now, but we are not part of Queen Creek when it comes to that as it comes from Maricopa County and Queen Creek taxes which we do not pay.  We are county land, outside the City of Queen Creek so their fire department does not extend to us, so we have to subscribe to a private fire company since we are not technically a city, well within city limits anyway (as far as I understand anyway).

Its absolutly crazy!!! We pay plenty in taxes and to have such a long response time realy ticks me off!!

If I remember right I *thought* someone told me Rural Metro was over at like Ellsworth near Mesa.  I could be mistaken, but I thought that is what I heard.  If that's the case, it partially makes sense why it could be a bit of a response time, although I agree that's crummy!
