I overheard the board saying they were going to look into more bids and more ideas, one idea was the rubber, I believe made out of ground up tires. Although it does look better and probably last longer than the sand, I think it might be hotter on the little ones feet. Not only that but I am not sure on the cost. As for the sand, I really do not see any reason why several of us (5, 10, 15 or 1309) could not get together on a weekend each bring a shovel and a wheel barrel and remove the sand, including the compacted sand, and have a truck drop off the new sand. This would need to be cordinated so the new sand would not block the road too long. If we did have enough volunteers this could be done in a matter of a few short hours.
I do aggree though with Rouchneck, we need the regulations and the report from the last inspection. Knowing when the next inspection could help too. Sometimes I wonder if bids are placed thinking "hey these people have no idea so I am going to hit them hard". Research should be done on each issue like this one BEFORE the meeting it is presented at, and this should be done by the people we pay to get the bids "Oasis".
As for the cleaning of the tot-lots, the board was made aware of this at the last meeting. This should have been a action item on Brett's list for him to check each tot-lot, make sure the work is being done (there are not that many tot-lots for him to check once a week). If the work is not being done PAYMENT is withheld. If the board finds Oasis is not doing there job in checking to make sure the jobs are not being done PAYMENT should be withheld from Oasis. Plain and simply.
Roughneck - as for the special assessment, I am not positive but I believe it does not matter if the house is empty or not, someone owns it. If it is Bank owned the special assessment goes to the bank. I am not positive on the undeveloped lots that Providance owns, I know they pay a reduced HOA assessment, but would they also get a reduced special assessment ?
