BOD Nominee Bios

Posted in: Castlegate

As only some of the nominees included bios on their nomination form, Oasis deemed it unfair to provide bios for only some of the Board of Directors candidates on the Ballot.

Now that the candidates who hadn’t previously provided a bio have posted information about themselves on this website, Oasis has provided the bios submitted for the other candidates so the community has information on all the candidates.
Please see candidtaes and the information they provided about themselves below.

I feel I can bring a young and new fresh approach. I'm very people oriented and enjoy meeting new people and taking on new goals. I would love the opportunity to work with this community.

Paul J. Lo Presto

I have lived in Castlegate for four and one-half years and I'm on the Board of Directors for three years as your Vice President.

During that time, Castlegate has been going through a hard financial time like all of us in this economy. We will get through this but, it will take time. I have been working closely with the Landscapers "Landmark" trying to maintain the common areas of the community. Landmark understands what's happening and they have been working with us by reducing our monthly payments by $7,000.00 per month, without reducing any services to the Castlegate Community.

I have also been working closely with out Management Company. Oasis and understand that a small portion is dissatisfied with Brett because he was once with Kachina. I do know Brett gives this community 110% of time and effort. This is one reason why Brett left Kachina otherwise he was not to do his job the way it needed to be done. He is well respected around the management company and highly educated in his field.

My sincere concern for the Castlegate Community is to finish the job that we started as a board. The future holds major decision's that must be made by this next Board so Castlegate can be a better place to live for all of us.

We must think not only for today but, for what the future holds and who would do the best job for the community.

I believe I would help this community of the Board if re-elected. I hereby humbly request your re-nomination to the Board.

Let's keep Castlegate the #1 Community in the San Tan Valley.

I am retired giving me the time to work on the issues that affect our community. Having worked in upper and middle management gives me the knowledge to draw from while helping the board manager our community.

Hi, I’m Mike, the Castlegate Treasure.  I’ve lived in the community since 2005 and have served on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer since January of 2006.  I was born and raised in Orange County, California not too far from Disneyland, in fact, I spend a lot of time at Disney in the summertime.   I was the class of 1999 at El Dorado High School in Plancentia, CA.  In the summer of graduation, I enlisted in the ARMY and served 6 years on active duty assigned to the 4th Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Polk, Louisiana.  While in Louisiana, I got married and Brandon, our only child, was born a year later.  In 2003, I deployed to Iraq.  I served 11 months in Baghdad and 4 months in Babylon before returning home.  Soon after getting back from the Middle East, I departed the ARMY and purchased a home for the first time.  We moved to Arizona and bought a home here in Castlegate in May of 2005.  I worked at MD Helicopters in Mesa, AZ for several months before starting my current job at DPS as a Highway Patrol Officer.  I enjoy serving on the Board with an open mind and look forward to a better economy where our neighborhood will grow and prosper.  I also set up and post quite frequently on this website.  When I receive the monthly financial reports, I review them with Oasis and post them here on the message board.  I set up a contact email for the board on Yahoo in the past so that members may speak with the board directly as well.  If you would like to ask me specific questions or any other of the board members, send you emails to “castlegatehoa@yahoo.com” Please be specific as to whom your question is for if you send us an email.
