In are old neighborhood we had signs placed at the entrances that said

NO SOLICITING ALLOWED

I'm kind of getting tired of the knocks on the door and the attitudes when you say no thanks, plus all the flyers we have to pick up that are blowing around.

Just wondering if any one else felt the same way.

Only knocks I tend to get are for pest control.  Personally I look out my peephole, if I don't know the person then I don't answer the door and they go away, but even at that it's usually just the pest control solicitors and sometimes the kids selling for the school fundraisers. 

On fliers, yes I agree the fliers are annoying.  Unfortunately, I don't think most of the folks would listen to a sign and would just bypass it and put the stuff up or knock on the doors anyway.  I have a neighbor that has a no soliciting sign on their front door and yet I see the pest control reps knocking on their door too, they tend to just ignore the signs.

I understand about them probably ignoring them any way, but in Washington it was considered trespassing if you had it posted and you could call the Sheriff and they would be given a citation for trespassing. I don't know what the laws are in Arizona, I guess I will have to look into it and contact the Pinal County Sheriff's office.

Maybe when the economy gets better we can bring up the subject of gates and turning the neighborhood into a gated community, I know with the current circumstances it's not even feasible. I know I would be willing to kick in a $1000 to make it happen.

Recently I have been hit with solicitors selling candy, pest control and OH my favorite, auto glass....I am really tired of the auto glass companies knocking on my door and saying I noticed you have a chip in your windshield. Well for one STAY OUT of my driveway and two did you use your magnifying glass to find that speck of a chip?!

Anything we could do would be great!!!!!
