This week has produced a lot of rain, more then I have seen since moving here two years ago. So much rain that it shut down work for a week, so I'm home driving my wife nuts. LOLLaughing

The drainage system for Castlegate seems to be working very well, I have not seen any flooding around here and that is a good thing.

Days like these you just want to light the fire and snuggle up on the couch with a hot cup of coffee and a good movie or book.

We lived in Auburn, Wa for 30 years so we know rain but it doesn't come down like this.

We moved into Castlegate in 2004. The first winter and spring we lived here was pretty rainy. That's when the bridge went out. The common area along Schneph had 4ft of water in it and kids were swimming and floating on inner tubes.

Yeah I remember moving here in '05 and that summer was pretty wet.  Not having a landscaped backyard yet and an 80 pound dog make for a very MUDDY summer that's for sure!  We came from living in Louisiana for 5 years.  I remember it raining 17 days straight one winter, gosh it was MISERABLE, but they had the nice soft dirt (since it rained constantly) so flooding really wasn't an issue until around day 15 they had to close a couple of roads.

Here's hoping it lets up a bit here, where yes we may be able to use it, AZ just isn't built for this and tends to flood flood flood with rain like this.
