Ok this is like the 2-3rd time this has happen over the past year..I forgot to lock my car (yes shame on me) however I guess that gave someone the right to rummage through my car.. I cant see that they took anything just pulled everything out.  My husband said he noticed his gas lid had been messed with over the weekend as well.. I have a feeling this will be happening more and more.. we live on Shapinsay (4100 block).  Anyone else have this happen to them recently? seems kind of a waste to call the police over it.. however its very upsetting.

Yes call the police. Also report it to thr COP unit.

Ditto the above.  Also lock your vehicle (just make it a habit), or put it in the garage and make sure to not leave anything valuable in vehicles (this is just to everyone in general).  All 3 are definite deterants. 

We just had this happen for the 2nd time the night before last!  yes, I agree...shame on us we forgot to lock our door however this does not give them the right to go in our cars and rummage through everything!!!!  My daughters DS was taken along with my EMPTY sunglass case!!!  We are just really irritated with the whole situation!!!!!
