There will be a special meeting of the Cedar Creek Land Owners Board of Directors on September 7th, 2012 at 7PM at the United Methodist Church in Lincoln. The meeting is open to all members in good standing. The purpose of the meeting is to vote on changing the Covenants from a requirement that an 80% vote is necessary to change, alter, amend or adopt a Covenant section to a simple majority of 51% of members in good standing in attendance at any regular or special general meeting. The Board is suggesting that this change be passed as it will make it realistic to change or adopt Covenants in the future. Recently proxy votes have been requested and received throughout the community. Whether you have signed a proxy vote or not, if you are in good standing, you are welcome to attend the meeting and offer any comments you may have regarding this proposed change to the Covenants. To view the existing the Covenant and the proposed change, the information will be posted in the Community Bulletin Board at the entrance of the development. The meeting will be for the sole purpose of discussing and voting on this proposal and no other business will be discussed. A regular meeting of the community will be held before the end of the year for general business.
The Board is currently seeking members in good standing who are interested in serving on the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee will be responsible to obtain persons interested in any opening on the Board of Directors for the upcoming election in the fall.
