Patrick Krause of the Neighborhood Partnership Office took the question before their legal counsel regarding our use of Chaparrel Country Estates and following is his response:
There is no legal problem with us using the name as stated above. However, if some other community in the United States has the same name and using it with an earlier date than we are they could ask that we remove the name. Patrick says that they have never had an occasion where that has happened. The name is an identifcation tool not any type of legal description. Therefore, we will continue to use Chaparral Country Estates as voted upon at the last meeting.
