As a courtesy to you, you should know our Association and neighbors are aware of your dog and there have been complaints made about it possibly being a dangerous animal to the Neighborhood Association since you moved in, the complaints began one year ago. It appeared that the dog has been trained to be a means of protection to it's owners no matter the cost. It is a concern when a dog has to be muzzled in it's own back yard.

These complaints did NOT come from your nearest next door neighbor. If anything, the people you speak of asked that other neighbors back off from making formal complaints with the City of Milwaukee regarding your dog.

We want you to know our Association USUALLY does not take action or get involved with these kinds of problems because the City of Milwaukee requires individual formal complaints. However we do encourage anyone with a concern about any animal being vicious to take whatever action they deem necessary.

However, it appears that with the steps you yourself have taken, a high fence, locking gates, etc. you may have concerns that your dog may go after someone. We are glad you have taken on the responsibility to do waht you have done.

If even one of your neighbors has a concern about your dog, then you should take it seriously and try and mediate it between you to come to some kind of agreement concerning the animal.

Your Dog, Your Responsibility

I often walk my kids in the stroller along the parkway. and no longer walk anywhere near your property.

On more than one occassion your dog tried to jump the fence and repeatedly lunged to try and get through the fence while growling and barking at me. It was wearing a cloth muzzle at the time. This really frightened me and my children.

I do not know you, but I know your dog has ''issues''.

I do not think it is condusive to a safe environment for our children, especially the young ones to have a dog that when walked by your kids, has to be muzzled, trys to break away from the leash, growls and snaps at anything that moves.

There are many kids in the area and we are one block form a Park with a tot lot. If this dog gets loose, and yes it could happen, even docile dogs get loose on occassion, it could be a tragedy for anyone that gets near your dog.

Any dog that requires that much security to protect the neighborhood from it should raise a few eyebrows.

Zena the Warrior Dog

I guess you must have named your dog for Zena Warrior Princess. She seems to have all of Zena Warrior Princesses' aggression, doggie style.

All kidding aside, when you moved here, perhaps you came from a neighborhood where you needed an agressive vicious dog to protect you and your home. This is not uncommon in the tougher parts of the City. But that kind of pet is not a good fit for a family neighborhood like ours.

Maybe Zena needs to be farmed out to somewhere she would not be a threat to her surroundings.
