First I'd like to thank all of you who have given a portion of your time in efforts to make our community a better place. This community is in its final building stages with only a few homes left to be built. Once completed it will be up to us,the homeowners and those who are renting, to make sure we ''each'' do our share to make our community safe and beatiful. If we(the Board) could get just half of the community to come out and participate/suppot in the committees and activities that we have established,we all can prosper from this. A simple ''hello'' to your neighbors costs you nothing. A good neighborhood begins with us all being a part and taking pride and ownership in what's here. There may be some areas that are not as attractive to the eye as others but the are'nt going to change unless we do this together. Please take the first step in making ''our'' community ''our'' home. We need volunteers at the pool to help check the pool passes daily in order to keep ''our'' pool and ''our'' children a safe and in a fun environment. If we can get the support that we needed, we could probably have it so no one would have to work any longer than a couple of hours at a time. Right now we have people working 4,5,6, hour shifts. I can only commend and applaude their efforts and dedication for the cause because this is all volunteer. That's why it's so important for you to be a part. Our Lanscape committee has a beautification project forming that will include the entire community. They too, need your support and ideas. Neighborhood Watch well..... Let me just say this, We are trying to keep watch over a 600+ home community with a roster of somewhere between 25-35 people. You do the math. If we don't get your support I can't see us getting ahead and moving forward in a positve direction. It's up to you the homeowner, you the renter, you the neighbor. I would like to volunteer a few hours a week. I do have two small children, but if we could work with my schedule I would love to get involve in anyway.

Not everyone can volunteer. What we need is more direct, logical action to IMPORTANT issues. Disruptive and dangerous elements at the pool and around the neighboorhood need to be controlled. Read some more of these emails on this discussion board and have HOA make some changes or you'll have more of the 'good' homeowners moving out. It won't take long for McIntyre to cross the line from desireable to undesireable.

I Stand by Carrie

Carrie, you and I should team up. I agree with everything you say. And you are right the ''good'' neighbors are moving out. We have to wait another year for the property value to go back up once new construction is done and then we are selling our house. And not only that we found out that our neighbor across the street wants to sell next year too, due to the fact that he fears that the neighborhood is heading into the wrong direction. I think the HOA should hold more meetings by the pool at a time when more people can go like on a week night at 6 or 7 and give the homeowners a chance to voice concerns and give opinions....oh and actually listen to them. You (the HOA) wanted these positions now do something with them and quit trying to get the rest of us to do your work. And like Carrie says the problem is clear and has been stated to you several times. The next note taped to our mailboxes from the HOA should be one on teenage curfew, tolerance policies at the pool and how about speed humps in the neighborhood. I know all of these are possible its just getting the job done. Carrie thanks for wanting to make a difference in the neighborhood as well. Any fight you have count me in on your side. Hopefully the HOA won't tell you to ''GET OVER IT'' like they told me.
