Is there someone I can call (not on the board, obviously) to enforce parking rules in the complex?

Are there even rules to enforce?

Forgive me, but I'm sort of new to Charlotte - we've owned our home a year and parking is becoming a major issue. I almost hit a child the other day as I was weaving my way through several cars parked on the street, and whether I can get out of my driveway and down the road in the morning to work depends on who my neighbors have over that day.

It's becoming quite frustrating - and with the child incident, now dangerous as well.

Parking

Where in the neighborhood are you located? If you feel parking is absolutely out of control, you can call 311 to report it.

Thanks Tony

I'm on the ''newer'' side. Bayview...Newfield...that area.

I wasn't exactly sure who the right point of contact was since I didn't see any real signs up that prevented parking in certain areas. I didn't think of 311 - so I appreciate the suggestion. I'll give it a shot.
Update

The Board has been in contact with the City of Charlotte about addressing the issue of parking on both sides of the street with so many of our streets being very narrow. The City has been out and determined that our streets are wide enough and parking on both sides of the street is not a hazard. The Board has also discussed this with Centex, but (surprise) they were no help, either. Since the Board has taken all the action it can take as a Board, Tony's suggestion of calling 311 is the only real action--except talking to our neighbors and asking their cooperation as a group.
