Are You Part of the Problem?
As a Board member, I'm always amazed at what people expect of their Board. How can people expect Board members to control children and young people? How can we force residents to cut their grass or keep up their property? We write letters. We fine people. We support the establishment of a Neighborhood Watch, but only a handful of people choose to get actively involved. We do our darnedest to get people to cooperate with the regulations, but if it's a regulation someone likes to break they complain that we're enforcing the wrong regulations.
People who don't care can't be made to care. People who won't put forth an effort can't be made to do their part.
When you have solutions to suggest, please let us know. In the meantime, could someone explain to me what is being accomplished by anonymous complaints? I've been begging complainers to help with the solution for 3 years and very darn few step up and try to make a positive difference.
To the few who do step up, thank you for caring so much about McIntyre. We may not always agree on solutions, but at least we know we're committed to working together to build the neighborhood, not just riding the coattails of the people who are trying to make a difference.
You have a hard-working board that is doing the best it can with their o wn free time. If you are passionate about something GET INVOLVED. If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
