I am glad to see that our neighborhood actually matters to someone.
First I would like to apologize for the high backyard grass down the hill. Because I rent from the owners, I was under the impression that the hill was not my responsibility until after reading theses posting in the forum.(It was not cut when I moved in so I have this line of bounds if you will) Now that I know I will see to it that it is cut ASAP.
Now in addition to that, we have received numerous letters from the association about our grass, my thought and concerns is that before you send those letters ''perhaps'' there is a time frame that happens when you are in the process of trying to grow the grass and you cant cut fresh seeds- you must allow time for the fresh grass to grow. Weeds are very different from healthy grass.
We had someone coming out every 3 weeks but after the letters became a problem we went and bought a lawn mower so that we can cut it ever other week.
Now to address why I looked for this group in the beginning, on July 8th sometime in the morning, after mid-night. We pushed the mower to the back of the house since we had a gas spill in the garage. I am PIST off that someone stole our lawn mower and now we are back at square one. The problem is that it was day time when we put it out and I have a women on the right that has a gate and two houses down on my left is a gate which means who ever is walking around or can see my backyard took it upon themselves to steal our recently purchased lawn mower. We only used it once!
This is a major problem! If people are going to steal from you (which this happens everywhere) then they can at least stop by from time to time and CUT our grass to prevent such letters from coming to our house. We are totally upset, at the fact that some people are actually trying to be good neighbors and keep the living condition up to standards, but when you don?’t know your land marks on your lot, and you have people who will take from those trying to do right. The motivations just leave you to the lack of support around you. I have another lawn mower but I could use some help trying to fix it (it cranks but wont stay on) because at this point in time I am unable to finance another lawn mower. If anyone can help us out or has one that we could use until we can get another we would greatly appreciated it so that we can keep the standards up that are expected of us as resident of this community.
