It was a pleasure to talk with you today. As discussed, the City has evaluated a sidewalk request for Elm Lane from Bevington Place to Endhaven Lane. On the current ranking list this request ranks 16 out of 193 identified thoroughfare needs. Please note that this is a fluid list and it is possible that the ranking may change slightly when residents request additional sidewalks. However, this ranking is high on the list and it is anticipated at this time that this project could be put into design next fiscal pending the availability of addtional funding. Each June staff discusses which projects will be put into design for the next fiscal year. There will be a better indication of whether this project moves forward into design at that point.
For your information, sidewalk projects typically take about 2 years to implement from design to end of construction. This includes planning and design, real estate phase, bid phase and construction phase.
