This is my first posting, and I joined because I am one of the artists chosen as a finalist to create gateways into the community of Belmont. During research, I have found alot on interesting historical info on Charlotte and NC, but not as much on the Neighborhood. I would like to hear from neighbors what they feel are some defining characteristics of the area, and what they would like these entryways to say about their neighborhood. I am planning on creating a carved brick mural on several sites around the border of Belmont. Any feedback would be appreciated.
