Dumping in Alley

Posted in: Sevilla
Is anyone else out there noticing an increase in the amount of trash being dumped in our alleys? I often see pickup trucks slowly cruising through the alley and stopping to unload bulk junk. I'm expecting a notice from the city any time now for having appliances, furniture, and whatnot in the alley behind my house before it's permitted. Odds are that these are not neighborhood residents. Is there anything I can do about this?

surveillance systems are an effective way to deter unauthorized activity and/or people.  chances are these ppl are being paid to remove trash elsewhere and dumping them here in an attempt to cut costs.  if the neighborhood combine their resources, i suggest that you get a surveillance system at all points of entry to the alley and post signs indicating that.  doing this even temporarily would discourage the trend /pattern that is developing.
