Current County law is intended to protect residential districts by prohibiting, at all times, the use or operation of amplified musical instruments, radios, tape players and similar sound devices at an unreasonably loud volume. The law also prohibits the use of a musical instrument, machine, tool or other similar device at an unreasonable volume between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
The police are inclined to do as little as possible, no offense to them, they have a lot to deal with, sometimes the paperwork keeps them from pursuing issues to the fullest. If for whatever reason you are unable to work it out with the neighbor, Keep calling the police, get the badge number of the officer that responds, ask for his Seargents (Supervisor's) name and number, and follow up the next day with a call to the station.
