Great Community Cleanup:
Residents, groups and block clubs are invited to participate in the Great Community Cleanup. At some point this month or next month the city of Chicago will have their annual "Clean & Green" clean-up. But we here in Roseland Heights don't have to wait. The SNOW is gone (Thank you Lord) have you seen what it left behind ...trash, trash, trash. There is litter everywhere.
- You don't need to hold a parking place any more...get those broken chairs, tables or whatever out of the street and off the parkway.
- The election has passed, time to remove post cards, flyers, (you may leave Sawyer & Lyle smile) and all junk mail from storm doors and railings.
- And PLEASE pick up the bottles, unread newspapers and other litter from lawns, streets, alleys, sidewalks and flower beds..... please! And while you are cleaning could you remove trash from a vacant house or help out a senior? Remember Life returns anything we plant!
Bash the Trash..... we are all in this together.
We know that each of us holds an obligation to preserve and protect our environment. Through our everyday choices and actions, we collectively have a huge impact on our world. It's really a simple concept, but one with far reaching effects.
Litter: If you don't throw it down, no one has to pick it up.
