May 2004 is Electric Lawnmower Month!

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, gasoline-powered landscape equipment is responsible for over 5% of our urban air pollution! Yikes! Another benefit of electric mowers... they're whispery-quiet.

Find a 20% coupon online at the web address below. Good for the Sunset Valley Home Depot.

I'd suggest a corded electric mower...if you can vacuum with a cord, you can cut grass with too.

I've been happy with my Black & Decker Electric corded mower for the past 2 years. Less upkeep, never change oil and you'll never run out of gas.

cordless

The cordless does not require a new battery every 1-3 years as the cordless mower does.

Electric cars

Since you're so in to electric powered motors, you should check into selling your gas guzzling cars and buy electric cars as well.

I can't believe you're on here actually telling us how to mow our lawns...you're are unreal!!

want some straight talk?

OK Ronnie,

I'm not sure what your issue is - about me talking lawn mower talk. FYI: I'm not telling anyone how to mow a lawn.

Maybe this is what you want. Do you want some straight talk? Some of my neighbors fear straight talk. But I'm up for it any day of the week. And....unlike you, I'll use my actual name. Me talking about lawn mowers is not unreal...this is unreal:

I went to the first 7 board member meeting last night at Bowie. The first hour was not pretty.

It was shameful.

The first item on the agenda was for the board to vote in officers. Jim O'Rielly threatened to resign if the other board members did not select him as the president. He threw a tantrum that almost ate up an hour of the boards time. I felt embarrassed for the guy, and out of respect, will not write what he said to the other BOD. He also complained about how hard his past year was and brought up what he's done for the ''History'' of Circle C.

Quentin Fennesy was voted in as President.

Before O'Reilly tries to rewrite history with the new BOD. This is what I know:

?• The board of 3 used our money to produce newsletters that politicly attacked a neighbor that was campaigning as a write-in a year ago. The newsletters also called his supporters, (our neighbors) at mail centers ''harrassers''. Is that democracy?

?• The board of 3 tried to illegally reduce homeowner votes, while builder votes would stay the same to ensure Bartlett would win against the write-in candidate a year ago. A Travis County Judge stopped them.

?• The board of 3 used $97,000 of our money to fight that Texas Law.

?• The board of 3 got a chair of a committee to pull up campaign signs of another write-in just 3 months ago. When the write in spoke to Jim O'Reilly on the phone after the incident, Mr. O'Reilly said ''Politics is dirty''.

?• When the Judge ordered the BOD of 3 to allow the 1,800 email recipients to ''opt-OUT'' of future emails, they sent out an email to ''opt-IN'' instead. The BOD of 3 destroyed all but 100 of the CCHOA's email addresses. So much for the new board to try to rally support for this weekends Bond hearing.

?• Some of the BOD never read the governing documents. Want proof? In front of city council, a year ago, O'Reilly stated we have one house one vote.

?• Another of the 3 BOD lied to city council claiming there were hundreds of support emails for the extension of escarpment There turned out to be 2 dozen.

Because Mr.O'Reilly would not allow a legal and fair election last year of 1 homeowner, he now has 6 surrounding him. FYI: Mr.O'Reilly is the only BOD of 7 that does not have any proxies or ballots to actually prove he's a board member as per our governing documents. He has yet to give financial discloser of the Stratus land deal he made in October 2003.

If O'Reilly chooses to stay on as a board member, after his threat and unprofessional behavior, I hope he'll understand that there is real CCHOA business to address.

Jim O'Reilly, please save the drama for your mama.

Ronnie, wouldn't you rather me discuss lawn mowers?
