You're not a coward
Mar 28, 2004

Dear Resident7,
As to your message, there's nothing wrong at all asking members to pay their dues...in full. If a resident has a gripe with something, he should take it to the leadership and pursue whatever other recourse that could be available. To withhold dues, however, in my opinion is childish and simply free rides on the rest of our coattails.

I agree with you two and I am going to mail a check tomorrow to our new Treasurer.

Jive Talking

I thought you didn't owe anything? Some jive about being charged incorrectly?

Mr. Smith:

I missed reading your above post until
today.

On March 29 I had mailed the check to the new Treasurer, Quentin Fennessy at 6111 Ginita Lane, Austin, TX 78739 in the amount of $416.25 by certified mail. But up to today, I still haven?’t received the signed receipt back.

Mr. Fennessy: Did you receive my check? Or did you refuse to accept the check because you don?’t think I should pay?

The following were the amounts I refused to pay due to two reasons:
2001 $57.70
2002 $89.96
2003 $268.59
The amounts for the Year 2001 & Year 2002 were related to the overcharge and the amount for the Year 2003 was being withheld for no landscaping on the common area in front of my house and Gary Bradley?’s old house.

I agreed with CCHOA Resident?’s post, even though I don?’t like it, that by withholding the dues, I was free riding on the rest of the homeowners. That?’s very unfair to all of you. And therefore, I decided to pay it immediately.

I also agreed with CCHOA Resident?’s post that I should take other recourse instead. And therefore, I decided to take all the old Board members and Terri Giles to the court one by one.

Thank you , Mr. Fennessy

Mr. Fennessy,

I received the certified mail receipt yesterday. Thank you.

I knew I was supposed to mail my check to Terri Giles. At the time I felt awkward that I would have to mail a check to the person who had just put a lien on my property, so I mailed the check to you. I am sorry if my mail had caused you a trip to the post office. Any way, I appreciate your receipt of my mail.
