The Citizen's Improvement League of Wimauma, Florida, Inc. proudly announces it's participation in Operation Weed and Seed.
Operation Weed and Seed is a multi-agency strategy that ''weeds out'' violent crime, gang activity, drug use, and drug trafficking in targeted neighborhoods and then ''seeds'' the target area by restoring these neighborhoods through social and economic revitalization.
The comprehensive approach of Weed and Seed dictates a multi-level action plan. There are four basic elements in this plan:
LAW ENFORCEMENT
COMMUNITY POLICING
PREVENTION/INTERVENTION/TREATMENT
NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION
