City Council OK's Water Tower

Posted in: Washougal River
It seems the 100 foot tall water tower the city and local developers want to build north of the city got the go-ahead from city officials, in spite of the lawsuit filed by former Tidewater Barge Lines owner Wes Hickey. John Karpinski, Hickey's attorney, cited possible environmental damage and requested alternatives be studied. The building permit has been granted by the city.
Further developments on this issue will be detailed at the January 15 meeting of the Washougal River Neighborhood Association at the Sunnyside Fire Station, 121 NE 312th Avenue in Washougal. The meeting begins at 7 PM.
