HomeOwnership Education

Apr 25, 2003

Home ownership classes are held once each month at the Council of Neighborhoods, usually the first Saturday. The instructor, Ed McNamara, is a Certified Home Educator and Counselor and the program is state certified. Classes cover the Federal Home Loan Bank required 10 topics considered to be essential to new homeowners. The schedule starts at 9 a.m. with orientation. Guest speakers from lending institutions, home inspection services, insurance companies, real estate offices, and credit counseling services provide in-depth lectures.

Owning a home has never been easier, however, it is still a great responsibility. These classes are designed to make the process simple and stress free. Many attendees are people who have owned a home in the past but want the latest information concerning real estate law. Present homeowners who are considering selling a home in the future are also encouraged to attend and learn what to expect when someone offers to purchase their home.
If you are considering attending one of the Home Owner Education classes, call 619-9305 and leave your name, address, and phone number.
