I know it's a big concern and Joan has been working with the code compliance officers to get some no parking signs up in the alleys. This will help us enforce the law and speed up towing if needed.

On the home page of this web site is a link to the Renton Police Dept. parking enforcement form, you can fill it in electronically and sent it to them if you have complaints about parking you would like taken care of.

I know people get upset about the alley parking from time to time but I would hope that we have enough respect for each other to contact the owner's and asking them to move before resorting to towing... People in our alleyway park in front of their garages frequently and I don't think any of us have problems just as long as there aren't any blocking issues.. Thanks.

I agree that the owner should be contacted before towing, and to my knowledge nobody has been towed without prior warnings. The main issue has been the alley on the West side of the neighborhood, more than one person has been blocked in their garage and was late for work because of it. One person specifically has been late 3 times because of this.
