Colonial Garden Residents

CGIA would like to provide you with the results of our efforts to bring to an end the issue of the shed located at 400 Lee Drive (1930 Rockwell).

The officers recently received a letter from the County Board of Appeals for Baltimore County. The letter received stemmed from the first hearing in April of 2008 (denied) and the second hearing held on 12/10/2008. The original decision of the second hearing at the Special Board of Appeals was upheld. The variance was denied again.

The petitioner has 30 days to appeal. If the petitioner does not appeal within that time frame, the shed will finally be moved. CGIA would like to thank everyone who signed the petitions and a special thanks to those who attended the Special Appeals hearing with us.

ORDER:

Therefore it is ordered on this 5th day of February, 2009, by the Board of Appeals of Baltimore County, that the petitioners' request for variance in case number 08-354-A seeking relief from Section 400.1 of the Baltimore County Zoning Regulations (BCZR) to permit an existing detached structure (shed) to be located on the third of the lot closest from the street in lieu of the required farthest removed, is hereby DENIED.
