Colonial Gardens Improv Assoc

A Commerce Energy solicitor called at our home at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 with a copy of our BGE bill indicating that his firm was authorized by BGE to gather identification numbers from our new smart meters so that charges for brown energy could be removed from our bill as mandated by the PSC. Suspecting that this was a scam to switch our electricity service contract from Excelon to his firm, we declined and decided to verify our suspicions with BGE. This is indeed a known scam but BGE was not aware that Commerce Energy is using copies of BGE bills in this door to door solicitation. Be careful!
