This is true until what your neighbors do infringes on your property values. Then they are taking away my right to enjoy what I have worked so hard to get. Sure I support people expressing themselves, as long as its not on my expense.

Sorry to be replying to this so late, but I just discovered this site. The real issue here is not a constitutional, it is contractual. We asked for a copy of the covenants when we bought our home and were attracted to the neighborhood in part because it had covenants. We didn't want to live in a place where people paint their homes purple, leave old cars and trailers parked out front and are generally only concerned about themselves. Therefore, if you have a problem with covenants you shouldn't have bought a home in a covenant controlled community.

LATE IN RESPONDING.AS A RESIDENT OF COTTONWOOD. I,TO HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE LIST OF COVENANTS FOR COTTONWOOD. I HAVE READ THE OTHER RESPONSES TO THIS AREA OF CONCERN. THIS NEEDS TO ADDRESS SOON.HOW CAN A HOA ISSUE TICKETS FOR IMPROPER LANDSCAPE,ETC
IF WE THE RESIDENTS DONT HAVE A COPY OF THESE BYLAWS. AND I WOULD LIKE MY NEIGHBORS TO KEEP A EYE ON MY HOME AND PROPERTY VALUES BECAUSE THATS WHAT NEIGHBORS ARE FOR TO KEEP OUR HOMES, FAMILIES SAFE. WHAT HAPPEN TO THAT TYPE OF NEIGHBORHOOD? CAN COTTONWOOD BE SAVED
