House History Info

You're Welcome

Hi Chris, Sorry I haven't gotten back to you since January, between work and renovation I haven't had time to get on the internet. Great news about your library search! It gives me hope when I get a chance to start mine. Let me know if you've found out any more interesting things. I love digging into the history of things. I've found plastered over doors and all manner of things that were done to the house - no skeletons or treasure (other than the house itself) yet!

See you later!

History at Library and elsewhere

Is the western history wing on the 4th floor? Any special category to search under. The previous owner of our house had done a title search which does provides a tracking of owners back to 1867 I believe. It also shows property division back to that time.
George Sea was the original receiver of property from the US GOVT for part of the land that is now occupied by Congress Park on June 19, 1867.
