Apparently, you do not think it is ethical for elected officials to work on matters as private citizens. I stongly disagree. It tells me they have the courage to stand up for what they believe in.
Harp all you want about the 1996 Broomfield election. I think you are very wrong. The ballot question referenced taking the matter to a statewide vote. Maybe you didn't think you voted for a Broomfield County. That was exactly what I thought I was voting for. And, so do many other Broomfield citizens. The 1996 ballot question was overwhelmingly approved by Broomfield voters. The vote in Broomfield at the statewide election was 62% in favor. Now, you and some Westminster citizens want to talk about what is ethical? Two affirmative Broomfield votes are very ethical. If you think Broomfield voters were not aware of the facts, you are whistling Dixie. Broomfield voters are some of the most informed voters anywhere. I find it disgusting for you to insult them.
