To Ken

Welcome to the board. I have to disagree with you; it is not time to give up; instead it is time to become involved.
To take the attitude of "be quiet"; is the exact silence that has given the BF city council the self-imposed powers to do anything they want at any cost. A petition by the people, for example, could demand elected officials. Again, this is an example; any topic could be a concern of yours; and voices that are silent need to be awakened.
A current issue in BF, is the Northwest Parkway. In 1994; a solid message to the council was sent by vote of the people; the vote said, "no parkway". Last year, it was revealed in March that Interlocken had given a one million dollar gift to the city of BF to study the development of the parkway; all of which has been spent.
Again, the residents of BF voted no; the city council, city staff, and Interlocken voted yes. Who should the council listen to; they have chosen Interlocken. This has got to be stopped. If the council is permitted, by the people, to do what they want when they want; this is a dictorship, not democracy. What do you want in BF.

Two things that will be certain with the county are:

There will never be a single school district with passage of Resolution 143-98 on 07/28/98; by the city council.

As stated on this board by BBW, we will have a decrease in home values.

As for Adrian and BBW, I am learning from their conversations; I find both have value on this board.

To BBW; The First

Hi, BBW; THE FIRST. I would like to return to the conversation we were having on the last board. I asked the following questions; I respect that it is difficult to find answers to these; that is why I am asking for your help.

1. How did CBLG open with an anonymous $11,665 account without identifying the donor (s). Why the need to hide? This leads me, and only me, to believe that it was city money. Can you verify this or discount it?

2. I posted the "public participation" message so that both you and I could have clarity on the subject. I would like to point out to you the following: Decisions about the county were made in City Manager's notes. Is this an ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTION that the council should be made aware of?

3. Why the hired lobbyists at the state assembly? Who paid for them; and why not BF citizens instead of lobbyists.

4. Why, in publications to the voters of Colorado, was the wording of the actual ballot changed, specifically, the word "consider" to "pursue".

Also, my answers to someone's (another BBW; the quality of the writing was not yours) ten reasons were not to discredit you; but to give a more complete picture of the impact of these ten reasons.

To 5C;s with a lovely A

I am in agreement with you; the need for a NWP to increase property values; and now, I hear, built an Interlocken 2 at I-25; has to be the instigating force behind the push for a county. Considering the time-factor in meeting with all other commissioners, the votes that may be required in other counties, not all would be receptive to money; and BF has been a "starving" community for many years. Besides, it really boasted the "egos" of the council; they no longer need public meetings and voters. The City and County of Interlocken is much more appealing.
