Tonight the house on the Southeast corner of High and Center (600 South High?) caught fire.
It appears no one was in the house at the time. Here is a little info I gleaned from the bystanders.
It is being converted from a duplex into a single family house in preparation for sale. It is owned by someone in our neighborhood, more or less.
The inside was being renovated. No one is living there right now.
The fire department arrived promptly and in force. Their work appears to have removed all possibility of having the fire spread to neighboring houses.
